Ballet BC wants to see Natalie Portman win an Oscar

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Some local ballet dancers are throwing their support in Natalie Portman’s quest for an Oscar this weekend.
Portman is one of the favourites to get the “best actress” nod for her portrayal of a deranged ballerina in “Black Swan.”
Ballet BC says Portman’s performance has sparked admiration and controversy from across the dance world. But they say for someone new to ballet to put on such a credible performance, after only months of training, is “impressive.”
