Poli-Sci prof: Despite being out west, BC’s vote will count

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Even if the outcome is certain by the time the polls close in Ontario, the BC vote will count. With a tight race shaping up, the federal government faces a confidence motion tomorrow.

“In this province, we have three-way races,” explains Political Science Professor Norman Ruff with the University of Victoria. “We’re going to be seeing a lot of all three major party leaders during the current campaign.”

“Every seat counts,” he says. “Especially given the closeness between the Liberals and Conservatives,”

However, Ruff says the real heat of the election campaign is likely going to be felt, once again, in southern Ontario. News1130 will be covering the confidence vote tomorrow and will be bringing you reaction all day.
