Tories and Liberals have different brains: scientists

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – What’s on the mind of voters?

It turns out Conservatives and Liberals have more than just different opinions. New research that shows political opponents also have very different brains.

Those on the right are more sensitive to fear, while those on the left are more comfortable with uncertainty. The British study suggests neuroscientists could conduct MRIs on Stephen Harper and Michael Ignatieff, then identify who’s the Liberal and who’s the Tory just by measuring grey matter in their brains.

A study out of the States has found discontented folks may be the loudest during an election campaign, but people who are happier in their day to day lives are more likely to actually vote.
