20,000 cruise passengers expected on Saturday

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – It might be tough getting a cab in Vancouver on Saturday. The Port of Vancouver has sent out an alert about the arrival and departure of thousands of cruise ship passengers.

Nearly 20,000 people will be coming and going from both the Canada Place and the Ballantyne cruise ship terminals between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

People who have to board ships on that day should make transportation plans ahead of time, and should not arrive at the terminals before their boarding time, to reduce congestion.
