VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – A three alarm fire didn’t do a lot of damage on the 15th floor of a heritage office building on Hastings and Richards Thursday night.
Vancouver Fire Battalion Chief Bob Bogue says everyone is okay after the fire started in ‘The Standard’ building before 10 pm. “A dryer caught a mezzanine area on fire. The sprinklers knocked it down, then fire crews finished extinguishing the fire.”
He says the sprinklers worked as they should have. About 40 firefighters were on hand and there is some water damage to an ESL school.
