VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The man who is about to become the BC Conservative party’s new leader is trying to clarify comments that have angered gays and lesbians.
In a radio interview last week, John Cummins said research indicated that people choose their sexual orientation. But in a press release issued tonight, Cummins says his comments were misinterpreted.
He says he meant people are free to choose the way they live their life, and he doesn’t know how sexual orientation develops. He says that discussion is best left to experts and researchers, not politicians.
