VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The BC government is warning people to be careful around creeks and rivers this long weekend, as the flood risk rises around the province.
A flood watch is in effect for the Bulkly River in north-west BC, and an evacuation order has been issued for some people east of Smithers.
Thicker than usual snow packs, mixed with heavy rain and warmer temperatures, are to blame for the flooding risk.
