Gov’t cheques will be delivered: Canada Post

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – You may see something a little strange this morning as mail carriers will be back out on the job.

Despite the ongoing labour disruption, Canada Post workers will deliver government cheques like CPP and Old Age Security.  An agreement was reached with the Canadian Union of Postal Workers that more than two million cheques will be delivered today.

But don’t hold your breath waiting for your EI or HST credit cheques, those ones aren’t being delivered.

*Old Age Security
*Veterans Affairs Pension Plan
*Canada Child Tax Benefit
*British Columbia Family Bonus
*Guaranteed Income Supplement

Not being delivered
*Employment Insurance
*Good and Services/Harmonized Sales Tax (GST/HST) credit
*Tax refunds or rebates for individuals and business.
