VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – A new office building is being proposed for downtown Vancouver at a site where it would tower over one landmark and remove all but the facade of another. The 35-storey project on West Hastings Street would sit next to the historic Marine Building.
The property is the site of the University Club, which would remain but be re-built behind its facade.
Oxford Properties and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board are partners in the proposal. Oxford also owns the Marine Building, and on the other side of the project, the Guinness Tower.
