Is summer finally here?

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Late June turned out to be slightly cooler than normal with an average daily high temperature of 18.7 degrees, but it also started to dry out, with only one soggy day in the final week of the month.

This month that trend will continue with normal summertime temperatures topping out in the low to mid 20s.  But there will be a distinct slant towards drier than normal weather, even by summertime standards.

Rainfall totals are expected to be below normal for the next two months, setting the stage for a tinder dry summer season across the BC south coast, even if it’s not too scorching.
