Will & Kate head to Calgary Thursday

Prince William and Catherine, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, respectively, are about to get a little bit country, as the royal tour heads to Calgary, Thursday, on the last leg of their Canadian visit.

Will and Kate will be presented with white Smithbilt hats, a symbol of the city of Calgary, given out for more than 60 years to royalty, politicians and celebrities.

But, there’s a British twist. Retailers in the city are selling Stampede Fascinators, with mini cowboy hats attached to headbands — the hats made so popular at the royal wedding.

The Alberta boot company has also crafted cowboy boots for the royal couple.

Will and Kate will head to BMO Centre for a reception Thursday night hosted by Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

On Friday, they will be part of the Stampede parade to end their nine-day Canadian tour.
