TORONTO, ON. (NEWS1130) – If you’ve been wondering where our summer weather has gone look no further than Ontario.
Toronto is seeing temperatures in the mid 30s, but with the humidity it feels more like 42 degrees. Meantime, we here on the Wet Coast have been getting rained out.
Momin Qureshi with our Toronto station is 680News says people are handling the heat pretty well. “A lot of pools are filled up. There isn’t a glass on the patio that doesn’t have a little umbrella in it. Places like shopping malls and recreation centres are full. People just aren’t going outside that’s for sure.”
Forecasters are calling for some light rain for the Greater Toronto Area Sunday night and Monday, and heavier rain by the end of the week. “I think people in this city are very thankful because lawns all over the place here are brown and crispy.”
