Buono says no major changes to Lions roster

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – BC Lions head coach and general manager Wally Buono is preaching patience as his team sits at the bottom of the CFL standings with a 0-4 record.

Buono tells News1130 Sports that he will not make major changes heading into this Thursday’s road game in Winnipeg.

You can expect defensive back Jerome Dennis to make his Lions debut against the Blue Bombers.  Dennis was picked up last week by the Leos after he was cut by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Buono also confirmed his interest in defensive back Tad Kornegay who was cut by the Saskatchewan Roughriders.  He plans on talking with Kornegay today or tomorrow.

There is no shortage of heat on Buono from the fans and media for the team’s awful start but he says that comes with the territory.

With the NFL labour war on the verge of ending in the next 24 hours, Buono says it hurts his team because two to three players down south showed interest in coming to Vancouver.
