Lions won’t have Arland Bruce in the lineup tomorrow

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – BC Lions fans will have to wait a week before they see newly acquired veteran slotback Arland Bruce in the lineup.

Lions coach and general manager Wally Buono sent a third round draft pick to the Ti-Cats for Bruce, a three-time CFL all-star. Bruce is on his way to Vancouver and won’t be in the lineup tomorrow night when the Lions play host to the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Buono says it’s not fair to Bruce and the BC offense to put him in the lineup just one day after making the trade.

The Lions have also officially put defensive back Davis Sanchez on the nine game injured list. Sanchez’s elbow injury will require surgery.
