A BC team will play in the National Final in North Vancouver

NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The BC champs from Langley will meet the host Mount Seymour squad in one semi-final on Friday at the Canadian Little League Championship. Ontario and Quebec will play in the other semi-final.

High Park from Toronto finished first overall in the round-robin, going 5-0.  They will meet Valleyfield, Quebec on Friday in the first semi-final at 3 p.m..

The British Columbia showdown at 6 p.m. will feature second place Langley at 4-1 against Mount Seymour. The hosts finished the round-robin at 3-2 with a 13-3 thrashing of the Atlantic champions from Sydney, Nova Scotia. Langley wrapped up the round-robin with an 18-4 thumping of the Prairies champions from the Rocky Mountain league in Calgary.

The championship game will be played Saturday afternoon at Chris Zuehlke Memorial Park. The champion will advance to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
