The Blue Bombers bring the number one defense to Vancouver

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers come to on town Saturday to face the Lions, leading the CFL in many defensive categories.

The Bombers’ defense calls itself Swaggerville; the leader of the group is defensive lineman Odell Willis.

Lions defensive lineman Brent Johnson is one of the players around the league who isn’t impressed with the bravado that comes with Swaggerville. Members of the Bombers defense is also selling Swaggerville T-shirts to fans for $25.

Willis tells reporters in Winnipeg he’s not impressed with Johnson:

“Jealousy. Hater. That’s all it is,” says Willis, “People hate on you when they don’t do it and think of it themselves. It ain’t our fault we came up with a young idea. Young minds together, doing something for their football team. Why not? It is what it is.

Winnipeg has a league-leading 25 sacks and Odell leads the way with eight.
