There’s a report Canada’s fertility doctors meeting in Toronto this week are considering barring obese women from undergoing fertility treatments.
That’s because some studies suggest they face more complications.
Women are considered obese if they have a Body Mass Index of 30 or more.
Arthur Leader of the Ottawa fertility Centre told the Globe and Mail his clinic already has a policy that denies fertility treatments to women with a BMI of 35.
Critics said it’s pure discrimination.
