Family of missing man pleads for information

COQUITLAM (NEWS1130) – The family of an elderly man missing for 11 days is desperate to find him.

Jafar Imanpour, 74, was last seen on Toronto Street in Port Coquitlam. Mounties are re-issuing their plea to the public because so far, they haven’t received any tips at all about Imanpour’s whereabouts.

Search and rescue teams have scoured the area around Coast Meridian Road and brought in sniffer dogs but their efforts turned up nothing. Police also canvassed local hospitals, but didn’t find any unidentified patients.

Imanpour’s son, Hossein, travelled here from Geneva to help in the search:

“Where have you gone? We are all waiting for you. Mom and the rest of the family are waiting for your return and we want to see you soon. We miss you. Please call home,” Hussein says in his statement.

Imanpour is an Iranian man, 5’11” with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark blue baseball hat, black jacket, and blue jeans. The family has offered a $5,000 reward for information on his whereabouts.

If you see Imanpour, you’re asked to call Coquitlam RCMP.
