Risk of botulism prompts recall of processed fish products

OTTAWA – A variety of ready-to-eat processed fish products are being recalled because of the risk of botulism.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said 19 products are sold under the Mannarich Food Inc. label and 13 under the Ocean Chinese Food Products label.

The manufacturer, Mannarich Food of Markham, Ont., is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace.

The products, which carry Best Before dates up to and including Dec. 16, have been distributed nationally.

The CFIA said there have been no reported illnesses associated with eating the products.
