Fireworks warning from injured teen

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Missing finger-tips, scars, and post-traumatic stress disorder. That’s what happened to a Vancouver teen after he decided to play around with fireworks one Halloween night.

16-year-old Adam Felardeau says the firecracker was in his hand when it exploded, two years ago. “And my hand was a total mess. I could honestly see through my hand and see the skin on the other side of my hand.”

He warns others not to feel peer-pressured into using fireworks. “They can make an excuse to get away, or they can even tell this story to their friends about the dangers.”

He’s hoping his story will prevent more tragedies from happening this Halloween.
