Toronto gets most negative responses from Canadians: survey

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Everyone hates Toronto, everyone loves Victoria, and the Albertans… well, they hate everybody! News1130 is looking over a survey about how we view ourselves and our cities.
Why do we have such a hate-on for Toronto?
“It’s the way they carry themselves. They think they’re better than everyone else,” says one man.
He’s not the alone in thinking that. A Leger Marketing survey for the National Capital Commission found Toronto drew the highest rate of “very negative” responses from Canadians.
Victoria took top spot with the most “very positive” responses ahead of Vancouver, where our own self-indulgent yoga-pantsed crowd says west is best.
“We have everything,” says one Vancouverite. “We have mountains, we have good weather, beautiful girls; what more could you ask for?”
Albertans stuck out in the survey as the Canadians who handed out the most “very negative” ratings for most of the cities across the country, including Calgary and Edmonton. Quebec was a close second in harbouring negativity for Canada as a whole.
