VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – BC residents will soon be paying more for natural gas.
Fortis says the BC Utilities Commission has approval rate hikes that will kick in on Jan. 1.
The company says customers will pay an average of $32 more a year for natural gas.
While commodity rates have not increased, other costs that third parties charge Fortis to store and transport gas have risen, and Fortis says it’s passing on those costs without a mark up.
