Some aren’t waiting for the New Year to diet

NEW WESTMINSTER (NEWS1130) – It certainly is the season for overindulging.  But not everyone is waiting for the New Year to get back on their workout schedule.

Stacey Firth is a trainer at 30 Minute Hit in New Westminster where women are put through a grueling but fun half-hour workout.  Like every other trainer in BC, and the world for that matter, she’s waiting for next month’s New Year’s resolution rush.

But she says a lot of people remain disciplined over the Christmas holidays.  “I tell them to make smart decisions, so if you’re going to eat your calories, don’t drink them.  Or, drink them but then don’t eat them or pick healthy choices like vodka soda, not tonic.”

She adds most of her regulars have been really good about sticking to their programs.  “They’ve been working their butts off, I always tell them every day to never regret a work-out and because ours is only 30 minutes it’s worth coming and making that time,” adds Firth.

She says she tells people every day Christmas eating, will still be there after the workout.
