The Canucks ready for a key divisional battle

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Canucks look to end a two game losing streak tonight hosting the Minnesota Wild. Vancouver should have the edge, as the Wild are winless in the last nine games played inside Rogers Arena.

Win or lose, it’s a big game for goaltender Roberto Luongo. The game will be his 700th career regular-season NHL game.

The 32-year-old is 23rd on the all-time games played list among goaltenders. He is well behind front-runner Martin Brodeur of the New Jersey Devils, who has played in 1,155 games.

After struggling early this season, Luongo has played well of late, helping the Canucks move atop the Northwest Division.

Henrik Sedin leads the league with 36 assists and is tied for the most points with 46.

The Wild will have forward Devin Setoguchi back in the lineup. He’s missed 12 games with due to a knee injury.

Tonight is the fourth of six meetings between the two teams this season. Just two weeks ago the Canucks shutout the Wild at home 4-0.

Puck drop is at 7 o’clock.
