It’s not just a flu shot which can help prevent you from getting sick in the winter.
According to a new study, a brisk walk on a cold day can boost your immune system and reduce the chance of you catching a cold by up to 30 per cent.
However, that comes with a warning – don’t overdo it.
British researchers found that prolonged strenuous activity, such as running a marathon, makes you between two to six times more likely to contract an upper respiratory illness, such as a cold, flu or sinusitis.
