Captain Canuck waiting for test results

ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA (NEWS1130) –  The Canucks are waiting for the results of a CT scan performed on Henrik Sedin’s right ankle. The captain was hit by a shot against Nashville on Tuesday. An initial X-ray was was inconclusive.

Henrik leads Vancouver in scoring with 57 points and he missed practice on Wednesday in Minnesota. He was sporting a walking boot.

Sedin was hit by a Kevin Klein shot in the first period. After leaving the ice he returned and set up two goals.

Henrik has played in 552 consecutive NHL games, which is only eight behind Jay Bouwmeester of the Flames, who currently has the longest streak in the league. Henrik broke the Canucks’ previous record of 534 games, set by Brendan Morrison.

In addition, Vancouver is also waiting to hear back on the results of a CT scan on right-winger Dale Weise, who was also injured blocking a shot versus the Predators.
