VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Never a dull moment in Vancouver, and this weekend is no exception.

Natalie Cole plays the River Rock Show Theatre Saturday night at 8p.m.

Funny woman Margaret Cho takes the stage Sunday night at 8p.m. at the Centre in Vancouver for Performing Arts Vancouver.

Saturday is your last chance to catch the world renowned national ballet Cuba in Don Quixote at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.  There are two shows.

It’s Family Science Days this weekend at the Vancouver Convention Centre.  You and the kids can come down at meet some scientists and see some cool experiments including launching your own rocket and creating your own earthquake.  

Come and take a dip in English Bay at the Great Canadian Chill at Second Beach.  It’s a nation-wide polar bear swim — complete with live music, costume contests and prizes. Money raised goes to BC Children’s Hospital.

Ever wanted to learn how to ballroom dance?  Now’s your chance.  Come to the Massey Theatre in New Westminster Sunday afternoon, where you ca learn how to move with help from So You Think You Can Dance instructor Michel Guimond.

Come see more that 400 dancers from schools around BC and the US strut their stuff at the 2012 High School Hip-Hop Dance Competition   Sunday afternoon at the River Rock Show Theatre.

Sunday is your last chance to check out the annual Wellness Show at the Convention Centre downtown.  If health, fitness and healthy cooking are your things – this is the event for you.

Come browse the more than 300 tables today at the Vancouver Flea Market Doll and Toy Show at the Flea Market on Terminal.

The Canucks host the Maple Leafs at Rogers Arena Saturday afternoon. Don’t forget — News1130 has Canucks updates every 10 minutes on the 5’s.

Come celebrate International Mother Language Day Saturday at the Roundhouse Community Centre.  The World Poetry Canada Youth Team will be there, and so will many spoken word artists, dancers and performers.  It’s fun for all ages, and it’s all free.

Bring the kids out to the Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre on Sunday for Busy Builders, where you can learn all about animals and their environments.

The Vancouver Giants take on the Red Deer Rebels at 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Coliseum.
