LANGLEY (NEWS1130) – A former Beverly Hills 90210 star has the greenlight to sue a BC film company.
Gabrielle Carteris was hurt back in 2006 while filming the TV movie “Past Tense” in Langley. Cateris suffered nerve damage to her neck, back pain and and partial facial paralysis.
The injuries happened while she was filming a scene where she was head-locked and dragged down a staircase.
The film company, Central Myth Pictures, argued the actress couldn’t sue because it was a workplace accident. But the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal has ruled the accident is out of their scope because she wasn’t an employee of the company.
That means Carteris can now sue for damages.
