Giants lose after third period Tiger attack

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Medicine Hat Tigers scored three goals in the final frame to come from behind and beat the Vancouver Giants 6-4 at the Pacific Coliseum. Marek Tvrdon scored twice for the Giants and now has 25 goals on the season.

The G-Men led 3-2 after one period and 4-3 after 40 minutes.

WHL goal-scoring leader Emerson Etem had two of the Tiger tallies and now has 55 goals this season.

Jordan Martinook scored his 35th for Vancouver in the opening frame. Captain Brendan Gallagher added 2 assists.

Spokane hopped over Vancouver into fourth place in the Western Conference, after a 4-1 win in Prince George. The Chiefs now have 77 points, while the Giants have 76. Both teams have eight games remaining in the season.

The Giants head overseas for a doubleheader with Victoria on the weekend.
