Damaged luxury cruise ship reaches land safely, 45 Canadians onboard

A luxury cruise ship that was stranded at sea for 24 hours because of an on-board fire has safely reached land.
Reports indicate there were 45 Canadians were among the 1,000 passengers on the Azamara Quest.
The large cruise liner went adrift off the southern Philippines Friday night, after one of its engine rooms was engulfed in flames.
Five crew members suffered smoke inhalation, including one who was seriously injured.
Despite the damage, the ship managed to dock on Borneo Island, a large island off the coast of Malaysia and Indonesia.
Police and buses were prepared and waiting at the harbour to take the passengers to hotels.
