CP Rail workers vote to strike if deal not reached by May 22

A strike is looming for workers at Canadian Pacific Rail.

Five-thousand conductors, train operators, people that work in the yard, as well as locomotive engineers and rail traffic controllers, have voted 95 per cent in favour of a strike if a new contract isn’t reached.

Negotiations have been ongoing since October 2011 and the contract with the company expired in January.

The Teamsters Union is in a legal strike position after May 22.
