Business community excited about soccer

MONCTON, NB – Soccer fans aren’t the only ones excited about tonight’s international friendly women’s match between Canada and China.

Bernie Belliveau, chair of the Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce, says area businesses will benefit too, not only from this match but as excitement builds to the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

“The economic spinoffs will be great from such an event.  But also, you can’t buy publicity like this on the world stage.”

Belliveau says this is a great opportunity for Moncton to show the country what it has to offer.

Tonight’s match at Moncton Stadium gets underway at 8pm.
