Phyllis Diller dead at 95

LOS ANGELES (NEWS1130) – Comedienne Phyllis Diller has died at the age of 95.

Sources close to Diller told TMZ that she died in her Los Angeles home, surrounded by family.

The groundbreaking comedian started her career in 1952 and rose to fame with her TV specials along side Bob Hope in the 1960’s. She turned to a career in comedy after writing for a San Francisco radio station.

She became known for her self-deprecating jokes about her looks, her age, her looks, and her relationship with her husband “Fang.”

Diller once posed for Playboy, but the pictures were never published.
