Cowboys cannot corral the Seahawks offence

SEATTLE, WA (NEWS1130) – Marshawn Lynch rushed for over a 100 yards and rookie quarterback Russell Wilson led Seattle on two second half scoring drives of over 88 yards, as the Seahawks cruised by the Dallas Cowboys 27-7.

Malcolm Smith blocked a punt early in the first quarter and Jeron Johnson recovered for a three yard touchdown to give Seattle an early 10-0 lead.

Dallas scored their only major on a Tony Romo 22-yard pass to Miles Austin in the second quarter.

The Hawks were up 13-7 at the half.

Russell Wilson capped a 90-yard scoring drive in the third quarter with a 22 yard TD strike to Tight End Anthony McCoy. The rookie quarterback notched his first NFL win, going 15 for 20 with one TD toss, as he found six different receivers during the game.

Seattle capped the win with an 88-yard drive in the fourth quarter as Marshawn Lynch ran the ball in from three yards out. The Hawks running back carried the ball 26 times for 122 yards.

Both teams are now 1-1. Dallas is home to Tampa next week, while the Seahawks entertain Green Bay on Monday, September 24th.
