OTTAWA, ON (NEWS1130) – Justin Trudeau’s decision to run for the federal Liberal leadership seems to be increasing the party’s popularity.

A new Nanos Research poll for the Globe and Mail shows the Liberals now have 30 per cent support, up 5.5 points from September.

Most of the gains are in BC and Ontario.

The NDP are at 27 per cent support, while the Conservatives retain top spot with 33 per cent support.

The Liberals choose their next leader in April. Trudeau officially launched his campaign on October 2, 2012.
