Tickets for McCartney and Springsteen hot items

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Tickets for the sold out concerts of Rock and Roll legends Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen are limited.  A Vancouver ticket broker says you’ll have a tougher time finding good seats for the Boss.

Sir Paul McCartney will be on stage at BC Place on Sunday and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band are making a stop at Rogers Arena the next night.

There is a limited supply of tickets to both shows, but Kingsley Bailey with Vancouver Tickets says it’ll be a lot harder to find good seats for Springsteen “because [the venue is] only one-third the size of McCartney.  So, there’s so much more demand than there is availability of very good seats.”

“We have tickets for Bruce but we don’t have anywhere near the numbers that we have for Paul McCartney.  A lot less than Paul McCartney.”

He says a lot fans are holding on tight to their Springsteen tickets. “I would say for this show especially, nobody wants to sell their tickets if they’re going to the show.”

If you’re lucky to find good seats for either one of the musical legends, Bailey says you can expect to pay as much as $800 per ticket. It may seem steep, but he says both never seem to disappoint fans.

“Paul has never been here since he was with the Beatles way back in the 60s.  And if somebody wants to be up close to royalty in the music world, these are the best seats there are….and Bruce Springsteen has such a huge following, I’ve seen his shows.  He’s going to play for two and a half hours solid.  No one is going to open for him.  It’s just going to be Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band.  They are phenomenal.”
