VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The latest data on Vancouver’s housing market shows a drop in prices.
Today’s report by the Conference Board of Canada covers resale homes, excluding new construction. In October, the average sale price of $726,000 was down 5.7 per cent compared to a year earlier.
The number of sales continues to plunge, down nearly 23 per cent last month. Some people who couldn’t find a buyer pulled their homes off the market, creating a drop of nearly six per cent in listings.
The Conference Board says Vancouver remains a buyer’s market, along with the Fraser Valley and Victoria.
