Vancouver Green Party rep not happy with city manager

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Vancouver’s only Green Party representative on city council is seeing red after a decision by City Manager Penny Ballem.
Adriane Carr is furious Ballem has disallowed a motion to investigate the Vancouver Park Board decision to reorganize how city community centres administer their cash.
Carr wanted council to consider whether the park board plan could raise costs for city taxpayers if angry community centre volunteers quit, forcing the board to use paid staff to cover vital administrative duties.
Carr has called a news conference for tomorrow on the steps of city hall, with former councillors and lawyers Tim Louis and Jonathan Baker, and veteran former councillor and MLA Darlene Marzari.
