VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – BC and the rest of Canada rebounded in February from a big loss of jobs in January.
This province added 19,800 jobs last month.
The other good news is that 13,500 of those jobs were full-time.
Statistics Canada says BC’s unemployment rate was unchanged at 6.3 per cent, as the labour force and participation rose.
The national economy added nearly 51,000 jobs last month, most of them full-time in the private sector.
Canada’s unemployment rate stayed at a four-year low of seven per cent, despite 60,000 more people looking for work.
