Popular camp sites already booked out for May long weekend

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – It may still be winter, but eager campers are already grabbing their spots online.
Today marks the official launch of the BC Parks reservation system, but you better be quick to grab your favourite site; May long weekend campers have already snapped up all the sites at Golden Ears Park in Maple Ridge. Porteau Cove near Squamish is full, too.
It’s not too late for Canada Day — you can begin to make reservations exactly three months before the date.
Last year, the Discover Camping Reservation site saw a 41 per cent increase in service over 2011.
