NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The major expansion of a grain terminal in North Vancouver can go ahead, now that the port authority has approved it.
Richardson International says it wants to begin work immediately on the $120-million concrete annex, which it says is the biggest investment in the Port of Vancouver in more than 20 years.
Winnipeg-based Richardson says the terminal has been operating at capacity for several years.
The expansion will increase its storage capacity by 82 per cent to 178,000 tonnes.
