Premier’s popularity up since election

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – You like Christy Clark more than you did a couple of months ago.

The premier’s approval rating has jumped nearly 20 per cent since the election making her the second most popular premier in Canada.

Shachi Kurl with Angus Reid says you can thank the post-election glow.

“I would look to the next four weeks to make some determination over how the next set of numbers will be looking. I can’t stress enough, it’s very important to remember that these numbers are a snapshot in time, as opposed to who are you going to vote for next.”

The pollster says Clark is not the only one to have gained a thumbs up from people around BC, Green Party Leader Jane Sterk’s approval rating has increased as the election allowed her to become better known in the province.

NDP Leader Adrian Dix’s approval rating has taken a 14 per cent tumble.
