Missing Van Isl. teen believed to be in Metro Vancouver

SAANICH (NEWS1130) – Saanich Police are asking for help in finding a 15-year-old boy who may be trying to cross the border into the US.
Asher Loenen was last seen on the Island yesterday morning; police think he’s somewhere in Metro Vancouver looking to head south.
They’re worried he may be broke and poorly-equipped to handle life on the road for any length of time.
He’s described as Caucasian, 6’2, and 180 lbs. He has dirty blond hair and hazel eyes. He’s believed to be wearing a rainbow-coloured Nepalese-style toque, a blue Columbia jacket, and a burgundy and tan Volcom hoodie.
If you see him or know where he is, you’re asked to call the police.
