Vancouver’s Plenty of Fish aquires FastLife

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver-based company that runs the world’s largest online dating site has made an acquisition.

PlentyOfFish has bought FastLife, which is described at the world’s largest singles’ event and speed-dating company.

FastLife, based in Toronto, puts on 2,400 singles’ events a year in Canada, the US, UK, Australia and New Zealand with themes such as Fit & Trim, Food and Wine Lovers, and Tall Men.

The price of the deal was not disclosed, but PlentyOfFish says founder and CEO Markus Frind is looking to spend more than $30 million on acquisitions and investments in the next 12 months.
