SURREY (NEWS1130) – A convicted drunk driver in a crash that killed a young softball player in Surrey two and a half years ago has been denied parole.
Kassandra Kaulius’ mother, Markita, is relieved by the decision. “We had hoped the parole board would really hear what we had to say as the family of the victim and it was really the first time today that we feel the justice system actually listened to what we had to say.”
Natasha Warren will not be able to reapply for release until late next year.
She was sentenced last December to just over three years in prison.
