VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Want to take yoga to the next level?
The Vancouver Aquarium is offering a chance to perfect your downward dog in front of its beluga whales.
But not everyone is happy about that.
“Practicing yoga as a spiritual practice next to confined creatures, especially as beautiful as majestic whales, is just a complete oxymoron,” says Corrie Kielbiski.
She is among the organizers of a protest tomorrow morning, while the yoga session takes place in front of the beluga exhibit.
“This just seems like a gimmick. Yoga is used so much as a gimmick in Vancouver as it is, this just crosses the line,” she adds.
