VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The holiday season is alive and well outside St. Paul’s Hospital.
The ‘Lights of Hope’ adorn the building’s brick exterior, stopping folks in their tracks.
Even veteran hospital employees stopped for a minute to look on last night during the kick-off.
“It’s exciting; it reminds me of Christmas… it gives you energy,” says one worker.
Of course the public flocked to the first night of lights, as well.
“They’re really, really nice; we saw these last year as well, and it’s just beautiful. It really lights up the whole street,” says a passer-by.
Despite the number of lights, they use very little energy, costing just $65 per night because of LED bulbs.
The St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation hopes to raise more than $2 million through the display and News1130 is a proud sponsor.
