Group hopes to launch ultra-low cost Canadian airline

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Your next flight out of YVR could be a lot cheaper.

A group of local aviation experts wants to launch a new, ultra-low cost carrier starting next summer.

If it does take off, “Canada Jetlines” would fly all over the western part of the country and, eventually, to international hotspots like Las Vegas, Cancun and Cabo San Lucas.

Documents obtained by the National Post suggest the price of a ticket to Prince George would come in at around $70.

The lowest fare available right now is close to double that.
