VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – You’ll be able to recycle more stuff in Vancouver this spring.
The city is expanding its recycling program with the help of a private company, which is covering the cost.
As of May 19, 2014, you’ll be able to recycle things like milk cartons, Tetra Paks, paper cups, ice cream tubs, and frozen juice cans. Styrofoam and plastic bags will also be accepted at the City’s depots.
It is hoped that by diverting waste from the landfill, the city will meet its goal of having zero waste.
