Good-bye Facebook? We look at some bold predictions for 2014

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – From predictions that Prime Minister Stephen Harper will resign to the arrival of the $6 cup of tea.  We are taking a look at some bold statements from Canadian Business Magazine about what you can expect in 2014.

Graham Scott with the magazine says Harper may have three wins under his belt, but his time will likely be up.

“Given the fact that he didn’t have a great 2013, there’s probably a lot of jockeying going on within the Conservative party right now to see who is going to be the leader, and can they win in the next election next year.”

In total, the magazine made 37 other predictions, including a rebound for Target stores.  “They are really competing, especially with Walmart and some of the lower-end department stores like Sears, and Sears is not doing so well as a result,” adds Scott.

He also thinks Facebook will have a tough year with so many teenagers giving up on it, and we could be paying $6 for a cup of tea as Starbucks launches its Teavana stores.
